Irish Railways In The 1970s & 1980s

This is a very new website (June 2008). It will feature photos taken, mainly in Northern Ireland, between 1976 and 1986. They have been sitting in albums since that time and I think it is now time to share them with the world. That period saw the demise of the MED and MPD railcars and the rise of the diesel-electric railcars. The 70 and 80 Class DE railcars have now been replaced. Steam had died in the 1960s but there was a great revival due to RPSI and many photos from their steam excursions will be included. I haven't written any script yet but I will get around to that in time. I would appreciate any information, particularly on locations of some of the photos.
